About

Who are we?
Brunel University sailing club is an ever-expanding team of dedicated, enthusiastic sailors of all abilities. We meet twice weekly to train and race in our impressive fleet of dinghies, and travel around the country to as many events as we can fit in. Social events play a large role in the club, and we have a dedicated team that works hard to make sure that everyone has as much fun off of the water as they do on it.
When do we Sail?
The club Sails on a Wednesday afternoon from 1pm. We meet at the bridge near the sports hall. Keep an eye out for the blue hoodies! We generally return between 5.30 and 6.30. We also meet most Saturdays for a full days sailing, training or racing, depending on what people want to do. Transport is provided in the forms of a minibus or cars.
Who Can Sail?
The club caters for all ranges of experience from beginner to expert. Along with Datchet Sailing club we are able to offer RYA and race training for those who are interested.
Where do we Sail?
The Brunel Sailing Team sails at the Queen Mother Reservoir (or Datchet Water) - only a few miles from the university (see map below). The Sailing Club is a member of the Club at Datchet who own the facilities at the reservoir. Every member gets full use of the facilities at Dachet as part of their membership.
