Brunel Badger

The Badger is Brunel’s homegrown racing event, having been run successfully for two years now. The event has already established itself as a must-attend event for any university team hoping to prove their mettle at Datchet each Spring. The Badger weekend boasts hair raising racing across both days, as well as some hugely enjoyable nights out.

Hike Like a Badger!

The weekend sees racing in Laser 2s across a series of round robins. All sailors are given a chance to try their hand at the tiller, with this year having been a great opportunity for our newly qualified level 2 members to race alongside their teammates.

BUSC is proud to be sponsored by Hall & Woodhouse’s Badger Ale, the drink of choice for the Brunel sailor. Each year the winning team is presented with a case of Badger beers, a worthy reward for a tough weekend’s sailing.

Socials to Remember

Or not, in certain cases! All teams are invited to socials occurring across the weekend, with some classic events including trips to the Academy en-masse and Tom’s beach-style house party, featuring full summer attire and real sand (indoors!). Only the photos can tell the true story… Whatever we get up to a good time is guaranteed, just make sure you’re fit for sailing bright and early next morning!

Dates, entry fees and booking forms for the next Badger will be made available in early 2010.
