BUSA Fleet Nationals
The BUSA fleet nationals are held in Weymouth at the start of January and consist of massive fleets of Laser 2s and Larks as well as a big handicap fleet. The standard of racing is competitive but great fun with masive socials and a lot of banter. Club members are welcome to enter their own boats or use the club ones. Brunel has done well in this event recently with 2 top 6 places in the last 2 years in the massive Laser 2 class.
Team Racing
Both BUSA and other universites hold team racing events thoughout the year and these are competitive and great fun. Infact Brunel won 5 points for being the most hardcore team at the 2006 Loughborough Laser. We will also look to host a team racing event next year with many other universitys wanting to attend.
BUSA Match Racing
BUSA holds a match racing series for universities in J80 yachts held at Queen Mary SC. Very competitive but great fun and a good chance to try a new boat we are planning to compeat in this event next year.
