Training is on every Wednesday, meeting at 1.00pm by the bridge by the sports hall. We normally get to Datchet by 1.30 and are sailing by 2.00. During the winter due to the lack of light we are normally off the water by about 4.00 and are back at university by 5.30. During the spring as there is more light we are able to stay on the water a bit longer and so we normally get back to university by 6.00.

 

Therem wil be specific beginner seesions thoughout the year about once a month. The first of these shall be on the 10th October. These wil include specific training for beginners in all types of boats from qualified members of the club.

 

This will give the opportunity for members to gain RYA qualifications though the club. The club has one RYA qualified Senior Instructor and two qualified dinghy instructors to carry out the coaching and the certificutes can be reconised by Datchet Watersports. We also offer members the opportunity to get powerboat qualifications though Datchet Sailing Club and if the interest is there we can offer yachting courses though a third party.
